Sakyamuni Sambuddha Vihara, registered as Buddhist Vihara Victoria Incorporated (BVV) is a non-profit organisation registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for Profit Commission (ACNC). BVV utilises all financial and non-financial donations for the development of the Vihara.

Building Fund: All donations to the Building Fund are used for the addition of essential facilities and improvements. Current projects include the construction of the new Language School building, security fencing and landscaping project. These donations are tax deductible for Australian taxpayers.

Operating Fund: All donations to the Operating Fund are used to meet day-to-day expenses of the Vihara. This includes the electricity, gas, water, heating, cooling, insurances, and other essential administration or maintenance expenses. These donations are non-tax deductible.

Become a member of the Vihara to support us. All donations are used to meet day-to-day expenses of Vihara in order to achieve our aims and objectives which include promoting Buddhist teachings & philosophy and provide facilities to maintain Buddhist education.

A membership form is required to become a member. Please download it from here and return the completed form via email to [email protected] or post it to 125 Homestead Road, Berwick Vic 3806.

The annual subscription is a minimum of $240.00 and is payable in monthly instalments ($20.00 per month). The annual subscription for pensioners, student and unemployed is $120.00 and is payable in monthly instalments ($10.00 per month).

New Security Fence and Gates

The proposed project is to secure the Vihara premises with security fences, remote-control gates at the four entrances to the premises. The northern boundary of the Vihara premises along the Homestead Road is 96m long, while the western boundary along the Ward Road is 274m long. Both these boundaries do not have any fences at present.

Stormwater Drainage System and Landscaping

BVV received a state government grant to complete this project and the work is underway. Now, you also have an opportunity to donate to this great cause as half of the estimated cost should be borne by the Vihara as per the project guidelines.
