As a sub-committee to BVV Inc. the Sakya Youth Group is a community of likeminded individuals over the age of fifteen. We were founded in April 2019 in hopes of reuniting the next generation of Buddhists to carry on the legacy our parents have built over the past decades. Our aim is to continue to raise awareness and promote Buddhist values within the younger generations. We also strive to benefit the Sri Lankan community and spread our cultural values amongst our community to strengthen our foundation and the values Sri Lankans are built on. We are privileged to grow up in a multicultural community that is open to accepting our values, we aim to spread cultural awareness and build bridges that will allow Sri Lankan to flourish in such an environment.
